My name is
Vincent Wicky-Demaria,
I’m a french
Art Director.I love to craft precise
& modern webdesign,
logos or print stuff.
I’m passionated by photography and
I truly love typography.
Born in 1979, I grew up in the south of France, in a village near Toulon.
I think I was 6 when I first used a computer. My dad bought an Atari 800 XL. This is an old crap now, but I remember playing kickass old school 8 bit videogames on this thing! Since then, computers have always been a part of my life; playing, programming, drawing… I’ve never stopped, and I never will.
I was 16 when I discovered Photoshop (Cliché warning) : this was a revelation! Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and then Indesign or Fontlab; all these years, I’ve dedicated myself to create things with a computer.
After studying electronics for 4 years, I attended a University of Technology for 2 years, graduated and obtained employment with the company where I had interned, Stratis. This is the same communications company I have worked for since 2002, and I’m enjoying every single pixel of webdesign I have produced (I have some regrets, but no remorse). In 2010 I decided it was time to work for myself, and started so I started to do freelance work as well.
I am one of the moderators on the world famous font-related website, Dafont, and I also make my own fonts. I founded a non-profit organization for small and medium-sized businesses, to gain access to communications technology by providing support, and help in their corporate strategies.
So, here I am. I hope you like what you’ll find here. Drop me a line if you want; I’d love to hear from you.
